I've been a dog owner all my life.
I've always believed in taking formal training lessons. Even when I was perfectly capable
of training my dogs myself, I still attended formal lessons. It keeps you focused! If I
have to show someone that my dog and I have practiced, I would have to
practice between classes, wouldn't I?
Over the years, people began asking me if I could help with their dogs. At first, it was simple obedience, then behavioral problems. Over the years, I've become an active member in The Phoenix Field and Obedience Club/tracking division, the Coordinator for the Therapy Dog Program at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, and a Testor/Observer for Therapy Dogs, Inc. It had become obvious that working with dogs had become my life!
I felt the need to back up my years of experience with a formal education in dog training and behavioral work and have recently graduated from the Smart K9 program. I am also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. A national association building better trainers through education.
I believe in positive reinforcement training for a consistent result. I believe no dog is too old, too stubborn or impossible to train! I know I can help you with your dog!
